An Indian saber called kharga or kora - North India, 19th century The kharga is the name used in India. In Nepal, the term kora is used. Interesting handle with a wrap-around guard of the khanda type (a chip without consequence visible on the last photo). Silver damascened blade with floral decoration and representations of elephants, tigers, deer and also a div armed with a bull-headed club. A div (of Persian origin) is in Middle Eastern tradition an evil creature. On the face of the blade where the div is represented, the damascene is well preserved, unfortunately on the other face, it has worn a lot. Length 80.5cm Blade length 60cm Weight 970gr
