Syrian dagger called magdali - Syria, circa 1900 A superb example of this type of Syrian dagger. Handle made of a complex construction of accumulation of horn and bone elements inlaid with silver, brass and bone. Scabbard with wooden core covered with leather and two nielloed silver elements. The brass plate above the handle is missing. The whole is solid and without play. Length 29cm Length without scabbard 28cm Blade length 15.5cm Total weight 332gr Weight without scabbard 265gr
