"Lunéville - Set Of 12 Polychrome Earthenware Knife Rests With Street Lamp Decor"
Set of 12 Lunéville earthenware knife rests. Late 19th early 20th century, circa 1900. This is the famous Réverbère service, emblematic of the Keller et Guérin factory in Lunéville, the model found in all the good bourgeois and aristocratic families of Lorraine and Eastern France at the end of the 19th century. This decoration, inspired by the Louis XV style Strasbourg decor, is adorned with hand-painted polychrome flower bouquets and enhanced with pink lines. Beautiful collector's item, rare. Half the price of new ones and twice as beautiful. 10 knife rests are in excellent condition, fresh colors, no damage. The last two are slightly damaged: a small chip for one, a glued foot for the 12th. Length 8cm
