"Louis XVI 6-leaf Screen, Early 19th Century"
Large screen with 6 removable leaves decorated with 6 paintings on canvas with neoclassical decor with a lacquered wooden frame in a pearl gray tone. Beautiful decoration on these 6 oils on canvas composed of a large floral vase, bouquet of roses, scrolls, garland of flowers, acanthus leaves, all with colors that have remained very fresh. At the top of these 6 paintings, a small medallion representing 6 scenes with puttis on different themes. These 6 canvases are framed with a molding decorated with golden clover piastres. The back is trimmed with a soft colored embossed jacquard fabric finished with a braid. Screen mounted with period hinges in solid brass with double articulation.
