Antique Sheet Circa 1900, Powder Pink Linen Thread, Monogrammed Valenciennes Lace, 250cm

Splendid antique sheet in powder pink linen thread, of exceptional finesse, dating from the beginning of the 20th century (circa 1900-1920). This rare piece is distinguished by: • a refined discovery of 95 cm, framed with very regular drawn thread days, • a discreet monogram hand-embroidered in white satin stitch, • an ecru (light beige) lace border, delicately worked over 16 cm wide on each side. The lace, supple and fluid, is a mechanical lace of the fancy Valenciennes type, with generous floral patterns. This sheet is a true ceremonial piece, combining delicacy of the color, nobility of the linen and refinement of the lace. It will find its place in a romantic bedroom, a collection of antique linen or as an exceptional textile revaluation.
