Rare Medieval Russian Helmet

This Russian helmet is a very rare historical piece. If it is exceptional in authentic form, it is also very rare in old reproduction, like this one. The original model places us according to Russian sources around the 12th-13th century, Kyiv region, but also Lithuania. The examplar we are presenting probably dates from the 19th century.
It consists of a conical skull, on the top of which is riveted a straight point. On the front face we find riveted an iron  part representing the eyebrow arches and a nasal protection. The edge of this part is decorated with a brass band.
At the level of the external edge of the helmet, we find seven riveted iron rings, which were probably intended to hang a chainmail.
The whole item is in a brown oxidation patina which can of course be removed by polishing but which I chose to leave, since it corresponds to the appearance presented by the rare examples of these helmets which have come down to us.
This is a beautiful object, which due to its rarity remains interesting, even if it does not have the venerable age of an authentic one.
