"China East India Company Vase 18th Century"
CHINA, INDIAN COMPANY, 18th century. Blue-white and famille rose porcelain vase, with a so-called "mandarin palette" decoration, depicting animated scenes of characters in a landscape, against a background of floral scrolls. Model having been mounted in a gilt bronze jug for Europe. We can see remains of gilding in the decoration. We find 2 different decorations: - a gathering scene animated by 3 characters - a romantic scene animated by 2 characters and 1 child playing with butterflies. Model in good general condition, we will note a slight accident on the neck and scratches due to the bronze mount. Height 13.5cm
