Typical work of Reboussin, the greatest animal painter of the Rodin era, by superimposing studies on blue paper. Probably made in the Jardin des Plantes. The anatomical understanding of felines is consecrated by this ease (a few brushstrokes or pencil) with which Reboussin sketches them.
