Mounting with jointed arch and two brass secondary branches engraved with acanthus leaves.
Short-tailed cap engraved with laurel leaves.
Rivure dome-button.
Beaked top engraved with an acanthus leaf and a palmette.
Spindle in brown horn filigree with brass thread.
Single-edged curved blade, flat back and gutter, marked ‘Mre d'armes de Chat - Juillet 1873 Cavrie leg Mle 1822’.
Sheet steel scabbard, hallmarked and marked ‘R. Francard’ ?
Hoop ring.
