"Miniature Of A Young Woman, 19th Century"
Large format round miniature representing a young woman against a backdrop of a wooded landscape. Her beautiful face with regular features is imbued with sweetness; she sketches a small shy smile; her brown hair styled in a bun from which a few strands escape in English frames her face with happiness. Dressed in a white dress with full drapes and a deep neckline fashionable at the beginning of the 19th century, she shines. The miniature is painted in gouache in pastel tones which perfectly suit the natural beauty of this young woman. Equipped with a tripod, it can be placed on a piece of furniture but also with a hanging ring if you prefer to hang it on the wall. The back of the frame is very scratched but this does not matter much since it is the hidden face that we never see. This quality portrait measures 12cm in diameter; It is in very good condition.
