"Africanist Drawing By Alberto Fabio, Known As Fabius Lorenzi, Circa 1930"
Alberto Fabio, known as Fabius Lorenzi, was a contributor to the famous Bon Ton newspaper. A Franco-Italian illustrator, he exhibited at the Salon des Humoristes, the Salon d'Automne, and the Salon des Indépendants. He also participated in the London magazines Pan and Eve. A specialist in feminine charm, his first illustrations can be found in Le Rire in 1912. Our drawing exudes a mysterious atmosphere; the man and his fetishes are drawn with meticulousness, attention to detail, and a concern for truth. The drawing is in a beautiful blackened wooden frame, under glass. This work can be seen at the gallery. Contact us for possible delivery.
