A shamshir-type saber - Probably Central Asia, 17th-18th century Handle made of two horn plates surrounded by leather towards the guard. This use of leather on the handle was a widespread practice in Central Asia, particularly in present-day Uzbekistan. Curved blade with a single edge of the shamshir type. The guard has a slight play.
