Filigree silver reliquary pendant – Relic of the True Cross (Crux DNJC) – 19th centuryDescription: Magnificent reliquary pendant of the True Cross, in filigree silver, of remarkable refinement. The oval relic is set in the center of a hand-worked silver wire mount, in the shape of a floral or radiant fan, typical of Mediterranean religious productions (Italy or Spain, 19th century). Under glass, on a blue fabric background, a fragment of the True Cross, accompanied by a legible handwritten titulus: “SS. Crucis” (Sanctae Crucis – Holy Cross). On the reverse, we find the episcopal red wax seal (cracked but not broken), crossed by the original red silk threads, ensuring the integrity of the reliquary according to ecclesiastical standards.
