Shobu Tsukuri blade, Mune Takashi, Choji temper line. Nakago type Funa Gata (boat hull), Ha Hagari Kuri Jiri (‘U’ irregular), signed ‘Bizen (no) Kuni Osafune Yokoyama Sukekane’ on one side and dated ‘Kokani Nen Nigatsu Hi’ (1845 March).
Copper habaki.
Wooden saya, covered in green glitter lacquer with polychrome butterfly motifs.
Koigushi and Kojiri in shakudo, engraved with the mon ‘Maru ni mitsu uroko’ representing three stylised dragon scales; attributed to the goddess Ben-ten, JM of the Hira-no.
Copper Kurigata engraved with plum blossoms, enhanced with gold.
Kogatana with Kotsuka in shakudo engraved with the mon and six circles in relief, signed on the reverse, steel blade signed.
Kogai in shakudo decorated en suite with mon.
Tsuka in wood, covered with stingray and braided with black silk.
Tsuba Kirikomi Mokko Gata in shakudo, decorated with flower motifs enhanced with gold.
Menuki in shakudo representing sunflowers, half of which are gilded. Fuchi kachira in shakudo decorated with mon and two butterflies.
Seppa in gilded copper.
Good condition.
