Henri Jean Pontoy (1888-1968) : "La belle marocaine", charcoal drawing, burnt red chalk, red chalk and Indian ink highlights 41 X 53 cm mounted under a marie-louise with fillets 54 X 65 cm. Signed and dedicated lower left. Glued fully onto the cardboard support, marie-louise glued to the support, but not onto the drawing, light stains and pin holes at the bottom. This splendid drawing demonstrates the virtuosity of the Artist, using different techniques to highlight the skin tone and suggesting the crumpled sheets on which the model fell asleep...
