Carcharodontosaurus aff. saharicus (translation of the genus: "Sharp-toothed lizard") : a large predator just like the "T-Rex".

Provenance: Kem-Kem deposit, in Taouz (Morocco)
Maximum length: 54 mm
This giant could reach up to 12.5 m in length with an estimated body mass of around 6 tonnes. It is a genus found in North Africa, the first mention of which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century (Stromer, 1931).
Note: Confusion with its “cousin” Tyrannosaurus Rex is not possible since the latter is found in America, China and Mongolia and lived in the Late Cretaceous (-68 to -66 million years ago).
