Oil on canvas "The cook in the pantry" signed lower right MF Jacomin. French school. 74.7 X 102 cm. Marie-Ferdinand Jacomin (1843-1902) exhibited at the Salon from 1870. The painter lived in Saint-Germain en Laye and very often walked the paths of the forest of Saint-Germain, immortalizing the undergrowth, trees and clearings that he visited. By his subjects, his compositions and his technique, we can say that he is an important player in the Barbizon School.
