He is in shirtsleeves, his outfit is elegant, small waistcoat, knotted tie, striped pants, boots. But he does not lack humor, a bottle of wine protrudes from the pocket of his jacket hanging from a branch! His happy expression shows the pleasure he takes in drawing! A happy but gifted artist because the line is sure, mastered.

The frame is original, the beaded frame is gilded with fine gold (one pearl is missing). Circa 1830.
