We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning Liberty Eros brass bed.

This antique Italian brass bed from the Art Nouveau period offers fabulous Art Nouveau style with its intricate design and stunning bronzed color. The rectangular shape of the bed frame, along with the decorative headboard and curved, decorated footboard, make for a fantastic wow-factor piece. With heights of 146cm and 100cm respectively, this bed exudes a sense of grandeur that will make a statement in any bedroom. Made in Italy in the early 1920s, this original Liberty bed frame is made from high-quality brass with an antique brass and bronze finish. The headboard and footboard are decorated with flying birds and a blindfolded Eros, the god of love at each corner, adding to the character of this bed. It is suitable for an EU or UK king size or double mattress, the dimensions being 158cm x 200cm (a 200cm mattress would sit slightly below the headboard). The external dimensions of the bed at the widest point are 163cm x 205cm. This bed requires a slatted base. These can be purchased online or a base can be used inside the frame. Condition Report: Beautiful patina taking root on the brass. A superficial crack inside the footboard on one of the cover plates. There is also a previous repair to the twisted top bar of the footboard. Some of the screws are not original. See images. Shipping: Our main depot is located in Montpellier in the South of France. The majority of our stock will be dispatched from this location. For smaller items weighing less than 20kg and with a circumference of 180cm (w+hx2) this equates to a box of approximately 50 x 30 x 40cm. Delivery 7-14 days depending on your location. Large items to the UK and EU These items will be dispatched with our own transport partners who operate between the UK, France and Spain. We aim to dispatch these items within 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, but delivery times will vary. Please contact us for a shipping quote. Large Items - Overseas Shipping. We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our freight partners. Once all costs are agreed, we will arrange packing and crating if necessary. The shipment will then be delivered to our freight forwarding partners in the UK and booked for the next sailing. Sailings can take between 2 and 4 weeks depending on your destination. If you do not have a customs broker to arrange customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can help. These overseas deliveries can take between 4 and 8 weeks. Insurance. For any shipment for which you have paid additional insurance, in the unfortunate event of damage during transit. All damages must be reported immediately to the final destination carrier and to us so that we can initiate the claims process. Returns In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your purchase to arrange a return and refund. Returns must be in the original packaging as received. Items must be returned in "as sold" condition. The buyer must notify the relevant shipping company that this is a return and cover all costs.
