And yet, it itches the pen to make the parallels between Alain BOUJU and his work, so much do emanate from one and the other the same sympathetic and cordial seduction, the same active sensitivity and the total disdain for the cheesy, the amazing to retain only the natural and the frank. Often beautifully inspired by the seascapes he masters with as much zest and freshness as singularity and boldness, Alain BOUJU nonetheless succeeds in many of the flowery and picturesque themes that Normandy provides, and this with such bravery that Japan and the USA compete for his works and welcome him with a courtesy and interest that national and European amateurs do not always express. But what does it matter for this solid and smiling Rouennais poet of a lively and festive Normandy who had the audacity and courage to devote himself entirely to the expression of an art that he serves with such brilliance and enthusiasm.
