"Late 19th Century Mahogany Bookcase. (200cm X 184cm)"
Lovely bookcase in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer dating from the end of the 19th century (1890-1900) This bookcase opens with four doors. The double door in the middle is glazed, and the side doors are grilled with brass. This bookcase is partitioned into three parts. There are 10 shelves in all, they are modular allowing you to define the desired height. Each shelf is veneered with mahogany with a mahogany molding on its edge. There are four large shelves for the middle part, and three smaller shelves on each side. Each door has its lock and key which works perfectly well. The lock of the double door is two-point. (Three keys) This bookcase is very richly ornamented in bronze. Its cornice is decorated with an interlacing frieze and foliage, with a bronze rod around its perimeter. The detached fluted columns are also decorated with bronze. This bookcase is in good condition, note some minor natural wear and tear. Also note an old restoration visible on the right side (see the last photo)... Its dimensions: 200cm wide, 184cm high, and 45cm deep (total dimensions) This bookcase is completely disassemblable, using a drilled round-headed nut, like most 19th century furniture.
