"Color Lithograph Ostend Carnival By James Ensor"
This color lithograph is authentic and old, it was made by James Ensor. It has a stamp on the bottom and a number "964". For the condition, note that the work is pitted and stained in places, it was framed in a much later frame. The colors have remained fresh James Ensor (1860-1949) Belgian artist, draftsman and engraver. He painted, with enthusiasm and in a very personal style, allegories and satires in which from 1883 masks are combined with grotesque characters and skeletons. But he also liked genre scenes and still lifes, which he treated in transparent, luminous and refined colors.
