"18th Century Wrought Iron Hearth Rack"
Wrought iron rack from the 13th century. It incorporates in its decoration a heart or a "pike", 6 pigtail twists, as well as a multi-pointed star. The hook is topped with a support ring for a cup? clamp? other to be defined. The rack is inserted between 2 vertical parallel bars which end with the frame of the heart. The fixing ring is movable around its axis. The hook is finished with a bead. The whole is mounted by forged rtvets (see the photos on the back) Its weight is 4.9 kg Its closed height is 88 cm. Open to the last notch, its deployed height is 108 cm
