"Bust Of A "young Peasant Woman" By Agathon Léonard, Biscuit Manufacture Nationale De Sèvres, Dated 1902"
Very beautiful bust of a young peasant woman in biscuit from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres by Agathon Léonard. A piece of remarkable finesse with this perfect face with the melancholic gaze of a young woman wearing a ribbon, probably a peasant. One wonders what feeling the artist wanted to give to this expression. Very charming. This bust rests on a square base on which a glaze has been applied with beautiful crystallization. All the quality of the Manufacture Nationale. Bears the initials AL for Agathon Léonard, the stamp SEVRES in a cartouche for the Manufacture Nationale, finally, the object is dated 1902 (see photos). 27 cm high. Sublime object, very fine, illustrious signatures and origins.
