"Pair Of 18th Century Engravings After Fragonard "
I am offering for sale this beautiful pair of 18th century engravings made with a burin on laid paper by Gabriel Marchand (active around 1755), after “Stolen Kisses” by Jean-Honoré Fragonard and (1732-1806). This engraving, published in Paris, is presented in a 19th century frame, with old glass which has a slight crumpled effect, characteristic of the time, these frames remain in the Louis XVI style with a very beautiful frame with straight baguettes to the leaf. The set measures 48 cm in height by 38 cm in width (dimensions with frame). The engravings are in good general condition, some brown stains to note visible in photography Like any old piece, this work bears the traces of its history, visible in the photos. It is aimed at lovers of classical engravings, 18th century art and gallant scenes in the manner of Fragonard.
