Alain Davy, self-taught painter born in 1936 in Normandy, former student of the Vanderkalen school in Brussels, won the gold medal in 1960. He participated in numerous exhibitions, notably at Parisian salons such as the independents. His way of treating subjects, most often nature, is similar to Fauvism or the Impressionists, he knows how to bring his personal touch. He likes cheerful colors, movement, his characters are never frozen.
