Transitional revolver, long barrel pepperbox, 19th century. Open frame in white polished steel. Octagonal barrel then round with rimmed muzzle carrying sight and rear sight. Unscrewable barrel, not tested, to transform this revolver into a pepperbox, as described and referenced in the book by Dimitri Singer published by Portal: Pocket pistols and revolvers in the 19th century. Double action central percussion mechanism in perfect working order. Barrel bearing number on the right side and under the bottom. Long cylinder with 6 chambers in 9 mm caliber, hollowed out on the sides. Loading door on the right side with locking notch and case extraction rod in the butt cap. Ring trigger without trigger guard and smooth ebony butt plates with central transverse screw.
