"Pair Of Candlesticks In Bronze And Marble, Paris 1783"
A pair of bronze cherubs with exotic features hold finely chiseled and gilded cornucopias which act as candle holders; they are placed on a plinth of ancient gray marble which in turn rests on a capital of white marble, connected by a gilded bronze frame; Fake curtains are applied to the plinths. The two figures, standing with one leg slightly raised, rest their feet on a grassy cushion in gilded bronze, decorated with leaves; on one of them there is the date 1783.
