The sculpture represents Friendship as a classical young girl wrapped in a wide tunic that leaves one shoulder and her breasts uncovered, at whose feet is a dog, symbol of Fidelity. The allegory of Fidelity and Friendship, already in vogue during the Renaissance, became widely used in neoclassical sculpture.
The sculpture has come down to us in its original form but its beauty has remained intact. The serene and imperturbable face of the young girl fascinates us with its delicate beauty.
