"Basket Of Woven Iron Wire, Late 19th - Early 20th Century"

Basket, folk art in braided iron wires late 19th - early 20th century. Vosges work from the region of Plombières des Bains. Was also produced in the Xertigny area. This work was carried out in small family workshops by the fireside in winter after the fields were finished. Finely worked handle as well as the entire bowl. Decorated with 27 tassels, no missing parts. Remarkably fine work.
