Object description :

"Carmine Red Two-door Sideboard By Willy Rizzo For Mario Sabot - Italy - 1970s"
Exceptional carmine red sideboard designed by designer WILLY RIZZO for Mario Sabot - Italy - 1970s
A rare piece of furniture due to its color, made of laminated veneer with a glossy finish, beautifully accentuated by mirror-polished stainless steel handles and edges.
Composed of two drawers at the top and opening with two doors providing access to storage compartments divided in two by a shelf.
Vintage in very good overall condition. Some light micro-scratches due to age.

Chic storage and display sideboard. Perfect for any modernist interior.

Willy Rizzo - Italian-French photographer and designer (Naples, 1928 - Paris, 2013)
A great photographer of fashion personalities and major reportages, he has exhibited worldwide.
Acclaimed in the 1960s for his major publications in Paris Match. It was in 1968, upon returning to Rome, that he decided to design furniture.
He created his own furniture collection, influenced by greats such as Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe.
He favored materials such as wood, marble, brass, and stainless steel.
From the late 1960s to the 1980s, luxurious furniture reflected his jet-set lifestyle, utilizing opulent, handcrafted materials that embraced extravagance.
