"Pipe In French Or German Porcelain And Organic Material - 19th Century"
Superb porcelain pipe from the 19th century FRANCE or GERMANY, richly decorated. The bowl has an architectural shape with Gothic-style sides, highlighted with golden threads. Each side is adorned with a polychrome decoration, representing landscapes. The lower part of the body alternates black, turquoise green and white backgrounds, all enhanced with golden threads. The angular side handle is also elegantly highlighted with a gold border. The original metal lid is equipped with its hinge and its tightening collar, ensuring a perfect fit. The stem is extended by a turned piece of organic material. The stem (or shaft) is sculpted from an organic material, most likely meerschaum, and is distinguished by remarkable ornamental work. It begins with an upper part in the shape of a turned capital with tops, of architectural inspiration, followed by a succession of spirally sculpted sections. Two bands decorated with a black and white checkerboard intersect the whole.Dimension(s): Total height 40 cmCondition: PERFECT - Only the upper pipe is worn but present (see photos).Period: 19th centuryPAYMENT and TRANSPORTPAYMENTS ACCEPTED BANK TRANSFER / PAYPAL / BANK TRANSFER / CB online or by CHECK.PARCELS WILL BE POSTED WITHIN 4 DAYS.
