The background in very fine silk damask taffeta background, is inspired by a large French cabbage leaf decoration from the 17th century. The applied borders in red and gold twill woven silk, remind us of the influence that Napoleon I exerted on the decorative arts of the Restoration period. The shape of the two bolsters are cardboard, braided and with passementerie of fringes and golden cannetillé scrolls. The cotton chintz linings are mounted by hand. No defects to note and to reuse for any historical decoration project. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: approximately 192 cm x 183 cm in total. The dimension of each bolster is 116 cm long. A bed slope or curtain from the same set is for sale separately.
