Object description :

"Solid Silverware - Covered Milk Jug - Early 19th Century "
Covered milk jug, late 18th - early 19th century

Charming covered milk jug in solid silver. Its handle and lid knob are made of turned wood. The body and lid are engraved with the same initials, adding a personalized touch to this piece of silverware.

The spout is taken from the piece. The milk jug is hallmarked with a rooster (guaranteeing its antiquity under the First Empire), with a diamond-shaped goldsmith's mark and charge marks (see photos).

It is in good general condition, with some light wear and a small dent due to its age.

Dimensions:

Height: 12 cm
Diameter: 7.7 cm
Weight: 203 g

A beautiful piece of silverware for collectors or lovers of antique silverware.
