"19th Century Bronze Ox Tongue Iron"
Iron called "ox tongue" in bronze, with a cast iron soleplate. The set is complete, presence of its pierced ingot to allow its grip and its deposit in a hearth in order to heat it in contact with the embers. The arched handle is made of wood mounted on a wrought iron frame. Note some lack of material on the handle at the rivets. The opening is done by a tilting door equipped with its button. Note the fine work of the pivot support of the door. The soleplate is made of cast iron. The set is presented in an old patina. Weight 3.5 kg
