This lithograph represents the Chabot mill on the Isle of Ré, it is annotated, numbered 117/200 and countersigned by the artist Louis Suire in pencil. Louis Suire (1899-1987) is a painter and publisher. Suire's paintings have often been used as a motif for postcards. It is also thanks to this medium that the very special color that Suire gave to his paintings and thus to the image of the Isle of Ré is still propagated today. His vision of the light of the Rhétaise and the architectural and landscape simplicity of the island are the most current ambassadors for all of Charentais.
