Louis-Victor Puiforcat, who transformed the simple family cutlery into a renowned goldsmith from the end of the 19th century, liked to draw his inspiration from the masterpieces of the old masters that he reissued. Thus, the design of the Royal cutlery was imagined by the goldsmith Nicolas Cornu in the 18th century. Its nobility lies in the refinement of its solid silver handle, fretworked and highlighted with an elegant interlacing of rocaille branches. Its sophistication requires the perfect mastery of traditional craftsmanship, including the very delicate file finish.
