"Large Louis XV Period Marquetry Wardrobe "
Large 2-door wardrobe from the Louis XV period. On the front, the doors draw 4 compartments in Rosewood marquetry in Butterfly wings, highlighted with a light wood net and surrounded by Rosewood. The sides take up the same decoration in Butterfly wings. The angles with cut corners end with a rounding at each end. A beautiful chiseled and gilded bronze adorns the lamp base, the falls and sabots, as well as the central rod at the joint of the 2 doors and the rounded cornice which surrounds the wardrobe. The interior face of the 2 doors is also veneered in Butterfly wings. The wardrobe has 4 thick oak shelves, adjustable over the entire height, allowing use for linen or as a bookcase. This piece of furniture, both practical and refined, is rare for its dimensions.
