Fruit knife with gold blade, ferrule, base and escutcheon and mother-of-pearl handle.

Original gilt red morocco case with iron fillet.

The blade is hallmarked “Warrior Head” (in French “DG”). According to hallmark it is a French work between 1809 and 1819, made in gold second title 840 thousandths.

References: Similar examples in ‘Historische Bestecke’ Jochen Amme pages 309 (mother-of-pearl handle n 621 - Poitiers c. 1825) and 315 (gold/gilt blade n 626, Poitiers c. 1815).
