"Georges Jacob Empire Daybed / Bench"
A model of refinement, this middle bench serving as a daybed, worked on its four sides with gilt bronze ornaments characteristic of the Empire period. Resting on a turned base of stacked spheres resting on bronze sabots ending in eagle claws. The mahogany frame with two arched backs enriched with gilt bronze ornaments following the curves. Upholstery in velvet fabric with flowers in good condition (without tears or stains) with two cylindrical lumbar cushions. This chaise longue is the work of the cabinetmaker Georges Jacob (1739-1814), famous carpenter in seats received master in 1765.
