Large oil on canvas signed Jean Remond (1872-1913). French Impressionist school. Dimensions: 109 x 92 cm Jean Rémond studied in the studio of Cormon and Richemond. At first, he painted landscapes of Brittany and Corrèze. He traveled to the Orient, Egypt, Syria, Palestine and brought back luminous watercolors. The artist exhibited at the Salon from 1894 until 1913. Co-founder, in 1908, of La Cimaise, a group of painters, sculptors and decorative artists who exhibited together at the Galerie Georges Petit, then at the Galerie Devambez in Paris from 1909 to 1922. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and became a Member in 1903. In 1905, he exhibited at the sixth exhibition of Arts Réunis at Petit in Paris.
