Dimensions: 130 x 97 cmPierre-Gérard Langlois is a painter and lithographer born in Montauban on June 27, 1940, died in Louviers on July 5, 1994. After having, in 1955, followed studies of chemistry in a technical high school, Pierre-Gérard Langlois followed in 1956 the courses of decorative arts of the School of Fine Arts of Rouen. He began to paint in 1957, but orienting professionally towards the decor and the costume of stage, he worked from 1959 for the Théâtre national populaire of Jean Vilar before being a decorator at Lanvin (until 1962), then at Chanel (until 1964). He then met Félix Valoussière (director of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées) and Élie-Léon Brami (director of the Galerie Vendôme), who both noticed his painting and organized his first exhibitions in Paris.
