Black chalk

Small stains, accidents, undulations - On two assembled papers
Presence of two watermarks: One with a bunch of grapes probably Subito in Rouen around 1770-1774 and the other with a fleur-de-lis in a circle perhaps from the Plombières mill (Vosges) around 1762.
Majestic academy in the typical manner of the first artists of the transition from rocaille to neoclassicism. In my opinion, made from a model in the workshop of Joseph-Marie Vien around 1770-1775. Really interesting anatomical approach with these small strokes of black stone which schematically form the plastic. In good condition despite its size and age - gilt baguette frame from the early 20th century.
