"Suite Of Four Transitional Queen Armchairs (jf Marcou)"
Set of four armchairs in carved beech, lacquered in ecru and gilded with leaf, called "à la Reine". Transition period Louis XV - Louis XVI, attributed to Jean-François MARCOU. Covered in an ecru gilded silk fabric with floral reserves. Rounded apron, slightly curved front crosspiece, molded, decorated with a central foliage motif, connected by tapered, fluted, rudenté legs, joined by sculpted dice, two of which support the armrest consoles. Medallion backrest, molded, sown with a floral and foliage motif. Jean-François MARCOU, Master in 1767 and died after 1788. Very good original condition.
