"19th Century Wrought Iron Waffle Iron"
Wrought iron wedding waffle mold, 19th century. Origin: Perche? Lorraine? Mold dated 1822, with the initials of the spouses (PM and MV) plus the initials of the blacksmith or the one who offered the mold (FH). Forged in the mass, assembled by a large rivet, closing by a ring with a rack. Finely decorated on one side with branched birds, stars and friezes. On the second side, the date is affixed in a circle, the same birds are placed on a flower pot. In the lower part a humorous sentence in a rectangular cartouche: "you look at me to eat me" with a spelling mistake! Very good condition
