It is made of opal crystal in a hydrangea pink color, also called pigeon throat.
The color is very strong due to the thickness of the opaline.
The neck is bordered by a gilded bronze mount and chiseled with a water leaf decoration.
There are two black threads on one side of the vase, a common phenomenon in this first period of this color.
Indeed, it was obtained by adding gold salts to the crystal in the form of a precipitate, often causing imperfections in the material.
