"Bergère Automaton With Mandolin."
Salon automaton circa 1890 by Gustave Vichy. Under its original globe, young shepherdess with mandolin surrounded by her animals in a papier-mâché landscape setting. The arm and bust are porcelain, made by Gautier, the clothes are original (light wear). In working order, the young shepherdess plays the mandolin activating her right arm, the head moves laterally to the left. Two different tunes, "behind the omnibus" and "Polka and Tonkinoise". Dimensions without globe: Height: 47 cm. Width: 21 cm. Depth: 25.5 cm.
