Important pharmacy jar, 80 cm high, which once served as a sign in the window of a pharmacy. It is made of blown glass, decorated using the technique of reverse glass painting. On one side, a medallion, surrounded by golden foliage and topped with a caduceus, depicts an Aloe in its environment, the decoration is signed Johner under one of the leaves. On the other side, a phylactery on which is written Aloe, gives the name of the extracts of the plant contained in this vase. The lid of the jar, also made of blown glass, is topped with a faceted hand grip, like the daggers of large chandeliers, whose transparency and brilliance approach crystal. Rare and spectacular decorative and collector's item. Good general condition, some lacks and wear in the background painting, barely visible. 19th century period.
