"St Clément Faience Stoup - Late 18th, Early 19th Century"
St. Clement's earthenware holy water font - late 18th, early 19th century. Part of the characteristic shapes of St. Clement, a wide cup attached across its entire width to the plate, a "nipple" with grooves above, and finally a rounded shape of the cross without a notch. See photo in the reference book. This object is part of the iconographic images in this book; the previous owner was partly the editor. Polychromy in perfect condition. Note tiny enamel chips at the level of Christ and on the cup.
