Oil on cardboard "Saint-Etienne Church in Chavignolles" signed lower left Norman Lloyd. Australian School. 33 X 40 cm. Norman Lloyd (1895-1983) was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. His art is a perfect example of the teaching provided by the masters of the Australian Neo-Impressionist School of the early 20th century. From 1947 he lived in France, more precisely, he settled in Berry, in Chassignolles (Indre) where he ended his life. Between 1947 and 1962 he participated in the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon d'Hiver in Paris. Modern gilded wood frame. Good condition.
